"Being creative is seeing the same thing as everybody else but thinking of something different"
As you can see creativity is closely associated with productiveness and the productiveness leading to the final product. But the definitions vary as in between the productiveness and final product stages are a number of themes; imagination, innovation, craftsmanship, expressiveness and productivity. Each has a role in the creative “system”. When I say have a role, I mean steps within the creative process that will arise at some point or another. There is really no default ideology for creativity, as creativity can be expressed in so many ways. Take for instance mathematics. This subject is not really associated with creative but I believe creativity is maths. Let me explain to why. In maths there is always an alternative route to reach the sum of any equation; No particular route has to be followed (always) to reach the same result. So discovering and forming a route to solve an equation is part of the creative process as it consists of the same mandatory themes, such as imaginativeness and composition. Although the imagination theme within maths is different from what creativity is normally associated with the rules still apply. Imagination+Productivity=result. I believe maths can be applied to anything for example; you have an idea, in order to achieve this goal, you will have to complete task A to get to be B, and from B to C and achieve your final result, its all subliminal equations when you really think about it. The same concept applies in any kind of creative task.
P.s; I don’t like maths at all before you get any ideas. In my next blog I will hopefully dig deeper.
